Now that it’s October, those carefree sunlit visits you associate with Kawartha Settlers’ Village in the summer have taken a distinctly spooky turn. If you visit this Saturday, October 19, you’ll find the Village has turned into a Wild West Ghost Town, complete with an otherworldly saloon, children’s haunted house and scary stories around a bonfire. There are games to play, crafts to try and even bobbing for apples and marshmallows. The historic General Store will be stocked with Hallowe’en treats. Don’t miss the parading of the Wickerman at the end of the evening. It’s all in good fun and a great way to preview Hallowe’en! From 5 to 9 p.m. Kawartha Settlers’ Village is right next door to Highland Green.
