Saturday, June 8, discover the fascinating story of wool in the Kawarthas. Kawartha Heritage hosts the second annual Wool Day event at Maryboro Lodge: The Fenelon Museum, 50 Oak St., Fenelon Falls. Step back into the era of early sheep farming with sheep shearing and herding demonstrations. Find out about the art of natural wool dying, spinning and weaving. Enjoy the sheep to shawl competition. Browse wool goods vendors and bring the youngsters for some fun activities. Make a day of it and drop by the Kawartha Yarn and Fibre Show at the Fenelon Falls Community Centre, 15 Oak Street. Fenelon Falls is just a short drive from Highland Green in Bobcaygeon.
